While we weren't sleeping

We've been up for 40 minutes or so.  (It's only 7:15 a.m.)  It's really not so bad.

I suppose I could run shovel the driveway--except it's -9 outside (not joking, it really is -9).
I could start breakfast,
pack Matthew's bag,
grab his snack,
get ready for the bus,
all those normal morning things.
Except.
It's not a normal morning.
There is NO school today.
So, WHY?
Why do you have to wake up earlier than you ever do on a NO SCHOOL morning?
It just doesn't make sense.
I am thinking it's going to be a pajama day.

Oh, I remember those days and there was nothing I could do to convince them to take a nap or have quiet time. I know you will make it a day to remember in Emily style. Have fun!

I believe so heartedly that we should all enjoy a few days in pajama. I did it for years when my boys were home and I still do. Actually for two days this week as I worked on my son's book, I was in my PJ's. It is wonderful.

Have a great day.

Good luck today. My kids have pulled that stunt on me before. My saving grace: they will need a nap by lunchtime, or they will all be in bed by five. Hey, I saw Mindy M. last night at the symphony. I haven't talked to her in probably two and a half years. Anywho, it was fun to see her.

Those are the days you lock them in a room with the tv on, and you go back to bed. Or you comfort yourself with cookie dough. Either one would work, right?

I like the previous comment; that's basically what I've done all day. Then again the rest of this week was pretty much like today, to Rick's dismay. Piper is going to be lazy like her mother if I don't change things around here.
