Bedtime conversation

Chris got home from out of town last night and this is how our "catch up on the week" bedtime conversation went. Before you think "isn't that sweet," just wait . . . there's more.

Husband: How was your week?
Me: pretty good.
Husband: What was the highlight of your week?
Me: Oh, probably playing chase with the boys yesterday. We had a fun time. What was the highlight of your week?
Husband: Coming home. (pause . . .) No, it was my Dr. Pepper I had for lunch.
Oh, that's nice. I'm glad we, the family, are first but for the Dr. Pepper and not something menial like rescuing four people from the flaming wreckage of their car, being asked to be the youngest CEO ever of your company, running into G.B. Hinckley in the doughnut shop or some other monotonous event. What a relief!

Ok. So is everything in that last paragraph true? I mean has he really rescued people from a burning car, is a CEO, saw the prophet enjoying a Krispy Kreme??

No, none of those things happened (although my mom did run into Thomas Monson in the doughnut shop once) I only listed them as possiblities I wouldn't mind overshadowing the family for a weekly hightlight. The Dr. Pepper . . . it's not one of those things.
