Matthew has a little show on the Discovery Channel he likes to watch called Bindi the Jungle Girl. In the show, Bindi, the Croc Hunter's daughter, travels around the world teaching about all kinds of animal life. It's a great little show and I don't mind him watching it--it holds his attention, he learns all kinds of things, and I like it too so it's a win-win situation. Often after he watches a particular episode he will act out all the things he learned, he will pretend to be the animal, eat what it eats (or pretend to), make a den, sleeping nest, or whatever out of pillows, pretend his skin is fur, and generally let his imagination turn him into a wild creature which is lots of fun to watch and join in play with. However, all this T.V. goodness might have to come to an end in light of today's events. Yesterday he watched a Bindi episode about tracking big cats in the wild--pretty cool stuff for sure but there is a dark side to all this imagination. This morning he asked me for some old hangers to make a tracking antenna--fair enough, seems harmless, but it belied a sinister motive. The tracking antenna leads you to the animal and then you need another tool. So Matthew comes to me with another request: "Mom can you help me build a TRANQUILIZER GUN!! This can only mean one thing--Will, you better RUN!

Oh that's too funny. YOu definitely live in a house full o' boys!
Oh Em, you gotta love boys, right? That is too funny.
P.S. We are HUGE Erwin family fans here. When Steve died and we broke the news to Chase, he cried and cried. We felt like we had lost our best friend.
how about a marshmallow gun? I hear they are great fun to play with. And think how tranquil the boys will be (not) when they get to eat the bullets?
