My family is one of those families who use movie quotes as part of every day conversation. Whatever anyone else thinks, I think it's funny. So, in honor of the family, I thought it might be fun to post a quote once a week or so and see how many people know it (seeing as I've got lots of people visiting this blog and all). Keep in mind these are movies from my childhood, mostly Disney, interspersed with a pinch of Star Wars (the good ones), a touch of Indiana Jones (except #2--the monkey brains and beating hearts were a bit much), and splattered throughout with some musicals and other good family shows. The majority of these movies will not be found on an Oscar list but for my inaugural quote I will pull a movie that always ranks in the top 100 movies of all time. It is the first movie my family ever owned. Back in the days of the VHS-BETA feud at a time when all my neighbors had BETA but in an odd twist on reality my parents chose VHS and found themselves at the front of the technology wave instead of sitting on the small tropical island way out at sea where the tiny wave was born and where they have since taken up residence. Anyway, here it is . . .
"That'll be the day."
clue: This is one of my father's all time favorites and he is a cowboy at heart.
Good Luck . . . answer to be posted next week.
p.s. if you are a member of my immediate family please do not answer right away. Of course, because of the previously mentioned feelings about technology it will be a miracle if they ever see this :)

I, too, live in a family that speaks movie quote. But I have no idea where this one is from. I am half-tempted to google it just to look smart, but I'm going to think on it...
Here's one for you: "How you come on? Pretty good sure as you're born."
Do you know that one? I even have it on DVD....something you can barely find..but it's a movie every kid needs to see.
But were you old enough?
